We are situated on a pre-Civil War homesite that has been variously used throughout the years to grow cotton, strawberries, and cattle. Today we are balancing the soil minerals and feeding the soil microbes to help us grow healthy and nutrient-dense plants and animals for ourselves and our neighbors.
Fox Hill Farm is a small family-owned and managed farm. Dr. Martelli has had an interest in agriculture since he was a child, likely inspired by his family of equine veterinarians. In addition to studying biology and human medicine, his interest has led him to study soil health, plant and animal nutrition, and regenerative and organic farming practices with the desire to produce chemical-free food so nutrient-dense that it can invoke a serious conversation about food as medicine.
Mr. Al Hayes helps with day to day operations and, in addition to ensuring that everything is well cared for, brings a lifetime of experience from numerous careers to the table. His assistance is indispensable to our goal of producing high quality and great tasting nutrient-dense food.
